Episode 3: Discussions from the Frontline

Dr Jereth Kok was suspended more than 3 years ago by AHPRA for online “wrongthink.”

Dr Kok, a committed Christian had no complaints from patients nor complaints of harm but he was summarily removed from practice to protect the “public interest.” After anonymous complaints to AHPRA about his online sharing of beliefs about Abortion, Transgender treatments and later Covid policy.

Before even informing Dr Kok a complaint had been made, AHPRA hired an investigator to go through 10 years of his social media to collect evidence of his political incorrectness. This authoritarian monitoring of a practitioner's conscience should raise alarm bells. Health professionals are increasingly, through enforced codes of conduct, being denied any participation in the public square of ideas.

Losing his livelihood for sharing his personally held Christian beliefs has put a great deal of financial pressure on Jereths’ family and fighting fund. If you would like to support his legal challenge, which will determine whether Doctors can share their personally held Christian and political beliefs outside of the doctor-patient relationship, please give here.
