Submission to The Senate
Education and Employment Legislation Committee
Inquiry into the COVID-19 Vaccination Status (Prevention of Discrimination) Bill 2022 and the Fair Work Amendment (Prohibiting COVID-19 Vaccine Discrimination) Bill 2023
On March 24, 2023 AMPS made a submission to be considered and accepted for publication by the Senate Education and Employment Legislation Committee.
AMPS submission has been published and available to the public on the committees webpage.
AMPS supports the intent of these bills and recommends in our submission the following:
Drop all mandates and stop all provisionally approved COVID-19 vaccines pending a full independent investigation with access to all raw data. Frontline health or care workers or employees of the Commonwealth, State or Territory governments should not be discriminated against on the basis of their COVID-19 vaccine status. There is no reasonable rational basis for COVID-19 vaccine mandates/directives to be considered an inherent requirement when medical and political authorities acknowledge the vaccines fail to accomplish its stated goal of stopping or measurably reducing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 from person to person.
The committee is due to present a final report of its inquiry to the Senate on 21 June 2023.
